Yes, I had noticed the discrepancy in the 1750 date after having done research on William Penn; that's why I put it in quotes and also included the quote from "Keeping Up with the Jones." It is more logical that his father or possibly his grandfather came from Wales and John was born in America. I am pursuing information that he was born in NC or PA, and his father was maybe Richard Bright Jones or Francis Jones.
