    3. Hey Gals, remember that there were Captains of river barges or flatboats, also of the boats that took people across rivers, etc. for a fee. You may want to read up on some of the old crossings of rivers in the area you are searching. Probably you have already done this. Just a reminder.     3. I have a William Jones born 1775 in Virginia who married an Elizabeth in Virginia and then moved first to Buillet co. Kentucky and then Scott co. Indiana. Wife's maiden name may have been Collins. He had a son name William and a grandson named William so I am assuming the name has been passed down. Any connections to anyone?
