Thank you for looking. James Jones was living with his Hicks in- laws close to Freeman Jones in the 1850 census. That is really the only clue we have on James Jones family. His father- in- Law was Isham Hicks a Baptist preacher. Does the book have anything on him? Isham was from Georgia but spent a few years in Pike Co.
