Angela... My 3 g grandfather was Joseph Jones of Wilkinson County, GA (he died there in 1827). Joseph had a brother named Hiram Jones died bef. 1846. He had children Annie and Aaron. My 2ggf John Gabriel Jones had son Hiram who died in 1862 I believe. Which Jones are you related to? dear Chris, thank you for replying, my father was Carlton Jones, son of Hiram Sylvester Jones of Missouri , son of Milton Jones of Missouri,son of Hezekiah Jones of Missouri, son of john Jones of Virginia, son of Robert Jones of Virginia , son of Robert Jones of Virginia, son of Robert son's of Scotland born 1605,son of Thomas Jones of Scotland. most of our family immigrated from Virginia to Missouri via Tenn and Kentucky to Missouri. i know that my grandfather was staying with Jones relatives in Arkansas when he met and courted and married my grandmother Effie Suzanne Greer, they then returned to Missouri and raised their family, Arthur,, Orville, Attlee, Effie, Carlton and Hiram Wilkerson, my father and all of his siblings are now dead and while i have been able to trace and contact my aunt Effie's children, i have never been able to connect with the children of uncle Orville or uncle Hiram. i guess the search is still on.thank you for the information you sent on, i will keep my eye open for any information concerning your lines.
