William would have been born in the late 1700's, possibly in VA. He died ca 1822, reportedly in New Orleans. Lucy was born abt. 20 Oct. 1784, possibly in VA. She died 20 Jul 1850 near Owasco, Carroll County, IN. They had the following children: Resin (Reason) V. Jones, b. 2 Sep 1805, OH Harrison Jones, b. 10 Jun 1812, Maysville, Mason County, KY (my 3rd g-grandfather) Angeline Jones, b. 4 Jul 1814, OH According to information taken from a biographical sketch of Harrison Jones, the family would have been alternately in Ohio and Kentucky from the turn of the 19th century up till the 1820's. After William reportedly went to New Orleans and died there of Yellow Fever, the family went to Indiana. I have never been able to find a marriage record for William and Lucy or any other real documentation. A friend located her burial place and her birth and death dates and the names of her children came from her gravestone. She was buried in the Beard family cemetery in Carroll County, IN. Her daughter, Angeline married Eli Moore whose family was connected to the Beard's. I'd appreciate any help with this that I can get. I've been stuck at this point in my Jones line for quite some time. > Just a reminder here to be careful what you send to > this list, do not put it or any other list in 'group' > of friends in your email where if you click on send to > group that we get it as well. 3. Unless a previous post is relevant to a new post please delete it before sending something else onto the List. All of our emails are archived and we need to be mindful of that (repeats of same posting appear in archives) plus our digest members will have to sort through lots of the same message to get to what is new. Thanks.
