Do you have any information on Freeman Jones. I think he might be the father of my gr.gr. grandfather, James Jones. James married Ellen Francis Hicks in 1850 in Pike Co. AL. James was married to Ellen in the 1850 census in Pike Co. AL and living nearby was Freeman Jones and family. James died in the civil war and we have been unable to find anything on his family. Pat, The book, "The Heritage of Pike County, Alabama, Vol 55 pg 421 reads as follows: "Freeman Jones, born about 1800, was in Pike County in 1850 with 8 children.
