I'm another William Jones stuckee. My William was married to Mary (Polly) Caldwell in Bath County, VA in 1810. Cannot find a clue as to whence William Jones came from. Really, no solid documentation on either of them. Thought I had a marriage bond on them once, but it turned out that it was a different William Jones and Lucy Thompson...Imagine that. I have at least 2 William Jones', one in 1660 VA and one 1850, TN. We could make a database of information on "wrong" William Jonses we have found. I know that I have a photocopy of a marriage bond from 1797 where a William Jones married a Lucy Thompson in Columbia County, GA. There might be someone researching that line who would like a copy of that. You never know, it might eventually help a number of us break through some brick walls. Bill Jones Winfield, KS
