Hello, Its been awhile since I asked about finding the ancestry of my Abraham Jones, he married Eleanor Cooksey in February 9, 1828 in Fauquier county. They removed to Coshocton county, Ohio between 1828 and 1830 because he was on the 1830 census in Coshocton county, Ohio. According to civil war records he said he was born in Hampshire, I am not sure if that is a town or a township or county and not sure if its in Virginia or West Virginia. Could someone enlighten me on that one? Abraham was born between 1807 and 1810. Hampshire Co is in Virginia next to Berkeley now WEST Virginia, I have kin from there also. I also have a MORROW cousin that has COOKSEY I am forwarding this to him.
