    3. Stephanie, Not sure if there is a connection, but I have a Pleasant Houston Jones born in Kentucky in 1878. who was the son of Lankford Jones. Lankford born in 1859 was the son of David Jones and Mildred Yeager. David was born about 1812 in Virginia. I've been trying to find out where the name Pleasant Jones (of my Jones) came from. Did your Pleasant Ferguson Jones have any bothers you know of? Thanks. 3. Let me jump in to say that my mother must have known Pleasant Jones as I recall the name. PLEASANT is in fact a surname from old Virginia. I've seen it many times. If you have Ancestry.com, try to find Pleasant Cocke.
