    1. Re: [JONES] Jones families of West Tn
    2. My Jones group settled in West Tn. David Jones and his brother John King Jones were in Wellwood, Haywood County, another brother - Allen Jones, was nearby in Madison Co. and David's son James was just across the county line in Hardeman County. These descend from James Jones who died in Franklin Co. N.C in 1822. I have looked into various James Joneses in Franklin Co. NC and am trying to identify the correct one to be our James. There may be a connection to the Jones/Sugan line in Franklin Co., NC because one of the sons mentioned above named a child "Sugars", but I have no proof. I also have another line that goes through Benjamin Jones and Johanna Perry in Franklin Co. NC Any leads would be greatly appreciated. 1. [JONES] WM Jones and Anna Louise Woodruff
    2. Since there are some inquiries re: JONES, I figured I can try to see if there is any connection to my "JONES". I am looking for info my gggrandparents. They are WILLIAM JONES and ANNA LOUISE WOODRUFF. I think they were in Tennessee first and then came up to Massachusetts. My ggrandmother, ANNA LOUISA JONES, was born in Jackson, TN. Unfortunately, they did not keep birth records when she was born. Anna Louisa Jones ended up in MA with her parents and married WALTER A.COOPERin 1898. Thus, having 5 children, (one died I assume at birth). My grandmother was Myrtle Eliza Cooper. If anyone thinks they have a connection or so.. please dont hesitate to contact me. 3. I'm speaking from memory now and this may not be too true. My Fortner/Faulkner line has a Sugar Fortner/Faulkner that was named after this Sugar Jones who was a Capt in a military unit that the Fortner/Faulkner served in. Not too sure about dates right now. 3. I also had my husband's DNA done for 37 markers plus Autosomal Panel 1. He does not match with anyone, yet on FTDNA or Y-Search. He only matches with a cousin who had his done through Sorenson. Sure hope more JONES get tested. My husband's lines are England, VA, NC and western TN in Gibson County.
