Hello, I'm posting this to inform anyone that is researching the Jones surname, that I have listed for sale on Ebay, a 5 generation photograph of a family that was taken at the J.G. Walkers studio in Brantford, Ontario, Canada. Below the picture is written the names of "Andrew Jones, Mary (Jones) Farrow, Rachel (Farrow) Isaac, Eva (Isaac) Scruton and Violet Scruton". As a note, I found Andrew Jones living with Edward and Rachel Farrow in Elora, Ontario on the 1901census. The census had him listed as being 91 and being born on September 10, 1809. Also Rachel M. Isaac was living in Brantford with her date of birth being June 26, 1856. Her husband was James Isaac and he was born on November 23, 1851.Their children living at home were Harry M., Alberta M., Mildred A., Edward A., James L., Rachel M. and Eva A (Scruton). To view this listing, please go to this ebay site; http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=004&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&viewitem=&item=140140710270&rd=1&rd=1 Yours truly, Kevin McKibbon
Posted by permission of the list administrator In connection with the upcoming 250th anniversary of the Planters arrival to Nova Scotia, I am pleased to announce that a limited edition reprint of Planters & Pioneers, Nova Scotia 1749-1775 (1982 Revised) by Dr. Esther Clark Wright will be available soon. For those of you who may not be familiar with it, Planters & Pioneers contains years of research by Dr. Wright to determine early settlers to Nova Scotia & New Brunswick from New England and many parts of Europe. The book is approximately 310 pages and includes information for more than 4,000 family leaders (25,000 names in total including family members) gathered meticulously from township records, registry of deeds, probate records, county and local histories, census records, family histories, genealogies, and so forth. Among those names are some JONES. Dr. Wright had hoped to publish future editions but the work ended with her passing in 1990. Planters & Pioneers is very rare because only a few thousand copies were printed nearly 25 years ago. The re-print is expected to be ready in August. If anyone is interested in ordered a copy, or to get more information about the book, feel free to send a personal message off the list to info@plantersandpioneers.com . Kind regards, Justin Wentzell Beaver Bank, Nova Scotia

Margaret, I appreciate your message, but I simply do not know the answer to your question. However, there is a possibly because I believe that a Phillip Robinson Jones, is a relative of my James H. Jones, but cannot find the actual connection. They both were born in Virgina(?), both moved to Hardeman County, Arkansas either together or very much the same time, then to Arkansas close to each other about the same time, and their children were named alike. I plan to check out your question an to either verify or discredit the relationship. At this time I am searching for James H.'s ancestry and siblings without any luck. I will keep your message, and get back with you. There has to be a Robinson something in either Phillip's or James' family. \ Liz Margaret Prior Boyer <chero@webound.com> wrote: Liz, Was your James H. Dr. Harry I. Sharp I am posting my Jones Line of northwestern Penna. once again. Daniel Jones was in the Civil War and his Father was a minister from the Erie, Pa. area where the second Daniel was born. The second Daniel was a post master in Mason, Venango Co, Pa. after the War. We have the first Daniel as he shows up living with his son, Daniel. The first Daniel (Rev.) was married to Margaret Withington. It is believed by some that Rev. Daniel's parents were Susannah Hoskins and another Daniel Jones. I just do not see any research for this. Harry
