    3. I am searching for any information on Giles JONES b: Nov 1813 in Ohio? died Nov 6 1894 in Paris, Edgar Co., IL. He married Lucinda MASTERS May 27 1834 in Belmont Co., OH. by William Kinney. A search of the 1830 census shows William Kinney in Smith Township Belmont Co. Doing a search for Jones there was a William Jones a few doors down from Kinney that had a male that fits the age of Giles. Could this be his father? Giles and Lucinda had Sarah Nov. 22, 1835, Jason b: Dec 6, 1837, John E. b: Jan 24, 1840, Robert A. b: April 1, 1842, Harriett R. b:Sept 16, 1844, Martha J. b: Dec 5, 1846, James W b: March 1, 1849, Mary Ellen b: March 6, 1851, Elmira (Almira( b: Nov 22 1853, George W. b: April 7, 1857 and Harry C. b: May 16, 1860. 3. They're everywhere Sam. Mine would probably have been born sometime in the late 1700's. His wife Lucy was born in 1784 (figuring from her gravestone). Don't know where my William is buried. The information I have from my 3rd g-grandfather's bio (Harrison Jones of DeKalb Co., IN) is that the family had been living in Ohio and William went to New Orleans (would have been about 1822) and died there of yellow fever. Best information I have (the bio again) says that both William and Lucy were KY natives, even though both would have been born before KY became a state. sam jones wrote: > Bill I have a William in my line. 1. [JONES] Aquilla and Priscilla JONES
    2. newsy
    3. Hello, Aquilla and Priscilla Jones were my g-g-g-grandparents. They had a farm in Graves County, Kentucky in the 1840-1850's, and at least 4 children: Thomas, Alexander, Silo/Sila, and Christiana Elizabeth. I am trying to find out where Aquilla and Priscilla came from, and whether they had more than 4 children. Aquilla and Priscilla Jones died on the same day, April 5, 1859, and are buried next to each other in Farmington Cemetery, Graves County, KY. Their tombstone shows Aquilla Jones' birthdate but all that is legible in the photo is the year 1800. Priscilla Jones' birthdate appears to be May 7, 1796. Does anyone know anything about Aquilla and Priscilla Jones? I don't know why Christiana and Thomas, at least, were in Randolph County, ARin the 1860's. Christiana married William Samuel Fredrick as his second wife in Nov. 1863 in Pocahontas, Randolph County, AR. Christiana Jones Fredrick died around March, 1865 about 2 weeks after the birth of her only child, Mary Ellen Fredrick. Late that same year, Thomas Jones died, leaving a will dividing his land among his 2 surviving brothers and William Samuel Fredrick. Does anyone have anything on Alexander or Silo/Sila Jones who owned land in Randolph County, AR? Have a great day, Merrie Sodder Republic, WA

    1. Re: [JONES] JONES Digest, Vol 2, Issue 140
    2. JONES Researchers, My brick wall is Lottie Polly (aka Mary) JONES. According to stories in our family, Polly mar Amos JOYNER b abt 1786/90. He was found in the Franklin Co 1830 NC census, Bledsoe Twp/Dist . Amos died before Jun 1838, and I have been unable to find Mrs Polly Joyner in the 1840 or the 1850 census. None of her 3 younger JOYNER children (Martha b 1832/34, Augustus Perry b 1836, and Priscilla Ann b 1838) were listed in the 1850 census either. Mary (aka Polly) Joyner was found in 1860, 60 yrs age, keeping house, in H/H of her son, W B Joynerl, as well as Augustus & Amos Ann (aka Priscilla Ann). In 1870, Mary (aka Polly) was 70 yrs, invalid, in H/H of Willis B JOYNER. Also in H/H were his sister, Martha (widow) Burnett and her young son, William A. Burnett. Lottie Polly/aka Mary (JONES) was b abt 1800 There is some information from a deceased relative from Franklin County North Carolina who claims that Amos Jones Joyner from Vance County North Carolina married Lottie (sometimes called Polly) and that she was a close relative of Daniel Boone. To date I have been unable to document this. Your help would be appreciated. Anyone with information re this family, please contact me or the List. We can share our genealogy.
