    1. [JONES] Abraham Jones - 1810 - Kennett, Chester County, PA
    2. Hi. I am looking for any suggestions on finding more information on this Abraham Jones listed in 1810. I am thinking he may be connected to my family. 1810 United States Federal Census Name: Abraham Jones Source Citation: Year: 1810; Census Place: Kennett, Chester, Pennsylvania; Roll: 47; Page: 142; Image: 13.00. My 3rd great grandfather was Abraham Jones, born abt. 1806, place unknown, lived in East Nantmeal from 1830 to 1850, and died 1884 in Slocum, Luzerne County, PA. His father was listed in a Slocum town history publication as Abraham Jones, Sr. a Revolutionary War Veteran. I find no evidence that Abraham, Sr. ever lived in Slocum, PA. I do not know what religion Abraham Jr. practiced, but I do know his wife was born into the Meredith family who belonged to the Society of Friends in the East and West Nantrneal, Chester County, PA area. Since East Nantmeal and Kennett are only about 25 miles apart, I am thinking there may be a connection. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. -Karen ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com

    3. Below is the information I have on my Wiley E.-- His father was supposed to be from NC and mother from Germany--or Georgia. He may have had a brother or father named Ned or J. J. This is all we've known for sure for the last 10-12 yrs. So of course I've stopped looking. None of the Butterworths lived in Tx. that i knew about. Thanks, Karli Dye 1 Wiley E. 1. [JONES] CHARLOTTE JONES, b. 1795-1800 in TN, living in Newton Co. MO.
    2. Hi all, I'm researching the family of CHARLOTTE JONES, b. abt. 1795-1800 in TN. She was living as a widow in Newton Co. MO. in 1850-1860. Her children include: GEORGE O. HENDERSON MARY ANN JAMES WILLIAM The first 2 children were born in TN. The last 3 were born in MO. I would love to establish the name of her husband, her other children, and her parents. I have information I'd be happy to share. Billie ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com

    3. The notes below are extracted from my research data on a Wiley Jones b. 1823-1832 in Bedford Co TN. He was son of Seaborn L. Jones and Catherine Long who were married there in 1820. Other children's names: William, Tacy, Joseph F., Nancy, Amos Dickens. This Wiley was listed as a son in a letter written back in 1900 by one of the William Jones (above) descendants. I have located all the other children, but never a trace of this one. I don't think he died early because the author of this letter recorded death of one member of the family in 1861. All the children ended up in Texas by 1850 - mainly Bexar Co, Cherokee/Rusk Co's and some went on to Polk Co AR. Does anyone have more data on the Wiley B. Jones shown below? ====================================================================================================== Wiley Jones marriages in Talladega for consideration: a Wiley B. Jones m. Nancy Henson 12/28/56 there is a James W. Jones m. Sarah E. Patton 12/26/1848 ************************************************************************************************************ The following is an email exchange in 2001 that could have a bearing on locating Wiley Jones. It is recorded here for future research. Note birth state given as AL in 1823. The Wiley Jones I have was born Nov 1823 in Al. He has a brother William and a Seaborn. He married Mary Presley and Leah Louiza Collins in Monroe co., AL Don't know his children...............signed, Jan (Below is my original message, above is a reply) > Still trying to find the trail of Wiley Jones b. either 1823 or 1832, > probably TN. > My Wiley Jones appears to have been married or departed on his own by 1850 > because he does not appear in the 1850 census with his parents.
