I am searching for a obit on a John Bennett Jones. I know he went by Bennett Jones and he was born in 1857 in Mississippi, he married a 1. Elizabeth Selina Barrett about 1893 in Tennessee, after she died he married a Mary Arnold and they lived in Tiptonville, Tennessee. I was told he died in 1936 in Dyersburg, TN and buried somewhere between Dyersburg and Tiptonville. He was caucasion. I have searched forever for a death certificate, or a obituary and never came across one. His father's name would have been Joseph Jones b in May 1823 in North Carolina and his mothers name might have been Salina, She died in 1900 in Decauter Co Tennessee and no death cert for her either. They had the following children: Hermitt N. (Hugh) Jones, John Bennet Jones, Eliza Jones, Elizabeth Jane (Betty) Jones, J.Joseph Jones and James L. Jones. ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com
I would like to be added to the list to receive a copy of your Jones ebook of historical obits. Thank you. shirley@weaverclan.com My father was Samuel Jennings Jones, born May 29,1905, Arnett, Ellis County, Oklahoma, died January 11, 1992, Santa Fe, New Mexico. His father was Henry Lee Jones, born October 17, 1864, Lavaca County, Texas, died August 02, 1927, Arnett, Ellis County, Oklahoma. The father of Henry was Leroy P. Jones, born about 1833 in Alabama. I keep looking but I have not found further information on the ancestry of Leroy P. Jones. On the 1850 Alabama Census, Marshall County, Warrenton District No. 41 I found a Leroy Jones, age 17, in the Washington T. May household. Does anyone recognize this Jones family?
I would like a copy too, please. Will there be a charge for this ebook? Thanks for doing this "small" project!
