    3. Tanya, there's more of us out here! But you added Virginia Mildred Byrd to the mix/mess! I believe that all we had was Mildred Jones. There's at least 7 kids and I'm thinking 9, but we never figured out who the other two where. Chesley was my line, we had one of Woodfords' and also one of Parthenia's. I'll try to get more to you this weekend. 2. John Blair
    3. You certainly can't always count on correct birth states being given, but looking at 1880 census, there are only 3 hits for a father born in Tennessee and a mother in Missouri, they are as follows? Any particular one you're interested in? You can always go to LDS website and view this information. James Jones, Elk Creek, Wright Co. MO abt. 1875 James Jones, son of W.H. & Martha Dallas, Webster Co. MO. Ca 1871 James M. Jones son of Charles & Mary H. Jefferson, Osage Co. MO ca 1874. servant in hh a couple doors away from James & Dicy Jones, that fit your profile. It's been some time, so here is the latest on my ggrandfather: James Jones - 1900 census indicates he was born in November of 1867 in MO. According to the census, his father was born in Tenn and his mother was born in MO. He was married to Mary Ann Hoover who was born in October of 1873 in Arkansas (again in 1900 census). James does not show up in the 1910 census and his wife is listed as head of house and widowed. I obtained a picture if James' gravestone which indicated he died in 1909 in Ripley County, MO. If anyone can identify with the above, I would appreciate any info - particularly James' parents names. tks EAJones ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to JONES-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message

    1. Re: [JONES] Jones history ebook
    2. I would also like to be added to the list for the Jones ebook. My mother was Forest Pearl Jones, b. 1901 in Waverly, Coffey Co., KS; d. 1991 in Las Vegas, Clark Co., NV. Her parents were Samuel Thompson Jones, b. 1871, Bath Co., KY; d. 1956, Coffey Co., KS and Minnie May Dotson. Sam's parents were Daniel Coleman Jones, b. 1820, Bath Co., KY; d. 1895, Coffey Co., KS and Nancy Ann Rogers. D.C.'s parents were Elder Samuel Jones, a Primitive Baptist preacher for more than 50 years, b. 1793, Clark (now Bath) Co., KY; d. 1875, Bath Co., KY and Mariann Ralls. "Uncle Sammie"'s parents were Francis Jones, b. 1765, NC (probably Rowan Co.); d. 1832, Bath Co., KY and Elizabeth Thompson. Francis and Elizabeth were first cousins. Francis' father was Thomas Jones. His mother was probably Priscilla Shortridge. Thomas Jones was b. c. 1732, probably in NC; d. 1814 in Bath Co., KY. Elizabeth Thompson was the daughter of Closs Thompson who was b. betw. 1720-1729, Pennsylvania; d. betw. 1797-1802 near Sharpsburg, KY in what is now Bath Co., and Jane Jones, the sister of Thomas Jones (above). Jane Jones was b. c. 1739, probably in Rowan Co., NC; d. c. 1842 near Sharpsburg, KY at more than 100 years of age. She was a poet and one of her poems is preserved. Louise Hassell

    1. [JONES] ALBERT JONES - New York State
    2. John Blair
    3. Do you have all the census information? He appears on the 1870 and is 3 years old, (George & Julie). In 1900 he and Josephine are in Ellenburg, Clinton Co. NY with son William. Albert gives his birth as March 1869, but if he is the same as the one found on the 1870 in Franklin, I would give more credence to 1867. John B. My Brick wall is my great grand father, ALBERT JONES. the information I have is very sketchy. He was porn circa 1869 in the Bellmont community of Franklin County, New York. I believe his parents to be GEORGE JONES (1841 - ?) and JULIA MATEVIA, His siblings were MATELIDA, JOHN, CHARLES, and MARY. I have ittle information on his death. He died after 1940. He was a resident at th Franklin County Home and he was suffering frpm Parkinson deasese. He was married twice, his first wife was MARGARET (MAGGIE) DORA with whom he had MARGARET, NEDA, and ADELINE. His second wife was JOSEOHINE CRUMP. Any and all help would be greatly aooreciated because I have nothing.
