    3. I have one piece of additional information that I didn't include with my previous letter: Anna Jones was most likely not born in OK. She moved there with her husband, Marion Walker Detherage sometime after 1908, when her last daughter was born. So Anna may have been born in Missouri, possibly in or around Laclede County, Mo. or Lebanon, Mo. Thank you, Melissa

    3. Hello, Jones list. My most sought after Jones is Anna Jones. Her maiden name and birthplace are unknown. I do know that she died in OK. I believe that she had a daughter named Nellie Belle Jones, and there is an Etta Jones in a picture with Anna. Etta may be another daughter. Anna's husband is unknown but must be a Jones. I have much more information on Nellie Belle. She was born Nov. 7, 1882 in (Ok?), married Marion Walker Detherage (born in Laclede County, Mo, died near Muskogee, OK). Nellie Belle died Aug. 13, 1964 and is buried in OK. It is said that a previous relative did some genealogy on this line 20 years ago or so, and found that this line goes back to John Paul Jones. I don't see how at this point, but other information on the ancestry of the Detherages from this same relative seems to check out. I don't know who this genealogist is, but I am trying to find out. Any information anybody can provide on Anna Jones could be a tremendous help in breaking down this brick wall. Thank you in advance. Melissa

    1. [Jones] Josiah Jones 1829-1885 WV
    2. Susanne B. Jones
    3. Hi, First, I apologize to those who will get this twice. My most elusive Jones is Josiah Jones. Born in Lewis County (W)VA in 1829. Married (1) Sallie/Sarah Phillips 25 Sept 1846 in Kanawha Co., (W)VA. Living in Jarretts Ford, Kanawha Co., (W)VA in the 1860 Census, at house #1336. House # 1328 is William Jones, son of Moses Wheeler Jones, who was born 1812 also in Lewis Co., (W)VA. Both men were in 7th Reg., WV Calvary, although in different companies. Sallie Jones died in 1861, and he married (2)Elizabeth Keener 16 Mar 1864 in Grafton, Taylor Co., WV where he was serving in the 7th Reg., WV Calvary. He moved his surviving children to Grafton after his marriage, and died there in 1884. William Jones moved to Roane County WV. I'm wondering if William and Josiah are related. Josiah's Children are: John J. b.c.1848, William S., b.c.1851, George W. b.c.1853, Mary J., b.c.1855, Sophia P. b.c.1857, Child b & d March 1860, Josiah E. b.c.1865, and Nora Emma b.c.1869. On his marriage license to Elizabeth, Josiah states he was b. in Lewis Co. (W)VA to William and Deborah Jones, both born VA. Could he fit into the Moses Wheeler genealogy? Does he sound familiar to anyone? Susie Susanne B. Jones, djones2@ma.rr.com I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message.....
