    1. [Jones] Willis Jones of SC and Jones of Georgia
    2. I am looking for Willis Jones of SC who died in 1803. He was related to Lewis Jones and his wife Cherry as his testate papers are listed together with Lewis who was appointed his executor and died the same year. Willis was married to Rebecca Case. Rebecca had to flee SC when Willis died to avoid her children being given to neighbors. She fled on foot to family in NC with her children: John, Samuel, William, Joab and sister Rebecca. Sometime about 1810 they migrated to Georgia. Rebecca was to have died circa 1860 but was known only as the widow Jones. Samuel married Narcissa Tate and lived around Gilmer, William lived around Dahlonega, John was a circuit preacher and lived in White, Gilmer and north Georgia area and a brief period lived in Alabama where he gave a speech against the confederacy and was chased out of Alabama to Union in Tenn. 1. [Jones] Lloyd Jones
    2. Debbie Foister
    3. There was a man named Lloyd Frank Jones<b. 8-30-1918 Foxworth,Ms.-d. 4-15-1988 Mobile, Al.> that was in the navy. Around the age of 22 yrs., he fell in love with a 17 yr. old young lady by the name of Hazel Kathlyn Langston <b.7-30-1922 Ft. Worth,Tx.- d.10-28-2002 Mobile,Al.>. He also had a wife (? Elizabeth Marie Preston?) that had a young daughter. He arrived in Port (of I don't know where) and both the young lady and the wife were there. Rumor has it he left his wife and child standing on the docks that day and left with Hazel. I'm not sure of the age the child was at that time. Lloyd divorced his wife and married Hazel. They had 8 children. Shortly after Lloyd died in 1988, Hazel received a call from a woman that said she was Lloyd's daughter. Her name was Kathy(Jones). Hazel never met Kathy, but always thought of her throughout her years with Lloyd..........Does this story sound like a story anyone out there may have been told? I'm searching for that child, Kathy (of any spelling). I'm the youngest of the 8 children I wrote about. I would absolutely love to hear from anyone about anything even close to this story.........You may know what really happened that day! Thank You, Deb

    2. Kathy Jones Kristof
    3. Vera Jones, I read your request on the Jones Mailing List for information on your grandfather. I didn't find anything on him, but I did find your grandmother listed online. It has her name as Grace Amber Blackwell, daughter of William Henry Blackwell and Florence Ella Williams. Grace was born November 16, 1896 in Texas and she died August 1924. The data I found lists her husband's name as Grover Jones and gives no other information. There is, however, quite a lot about Grace's ancestors. I found this information on Ancestry.com. You should be able to access the data without being a member. Go into their website and put in Grace Blackwell, look in the Ancestry World Tree Entries and look for her name in the list. If you can't find it, contact me back direct. kjk@101freeway.net Kathy Jones-Kristof

Other possible children: Frances Ann, John A and Oliver L. I've been looking for Charles Jones Sr for more than five years. I hope someone out there has information about him.
