I have the Jones genealogy for Scott co. right down to modern times and he isn't on it. However, there was another William Jones family there and if I remember right that William Jones was about 7 years older than ours and I believe they did have a descendent by that name. InGenWeb has Scott co. on it and Pat has put several censuses on it. I would suggest you go look. Just put "Indiana genealogy" in your search engine and the web site will come up. Zachariah was born in 1838 and Caroline Jones Hawkins died in 1929. I visited their gravesite this past weekend. One row up from them were the gravesites of Hiram and Julia Jones.
