    3. Always welcome I don't know who her "husband" was but William Gibson/Jones was her son. Word had it he was out-of-wedlock son with a William "Bill" Gibson. William Jones is on a census twice. Once as William Jones and Once as William Gibson. Same family. 3. I do know that our Elizabeth (nee JONES) came to the US 1828. I am told by my husband that Thomas was here by at least 1850 but unsure when I am going to ck the census for Jackson Co and see if I can track him down prior to his living on the GRIFFITHS' farm. I do know some of her children ended up in KY as well as WV (but they would have been Griffiths). I am just beginning to find out abt her brother Thomas. I do know of the 2 sons and grandson. I was sent a message that said he had a daughter, Elizabeth as well. Sorry, not much help at this point. ~pat~ > -----Original Message----- > From: Rhonda Chesnutt [mailto:jchesnut30@msn.com] > Sent: Saturday, January 04, 2003 11:11 AM > To: JONES-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: Re: [Jones] Wales>OH>Denver poss Pitt > > > Pat- > When did this Jones family enter the US and did they send a > branch to KY? > > Rhonda > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Pat Jones" <riverrat1@erinet.com> > To: <JONES-L@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Friday, January 03, 2003 8:45 PM > Subject: [Jones] Wales>OH>Denver poss Pitt > > > > Here is what I know: > > Thomas Jones had at least 2 sons Robert and John L. It is a descendant of this woman who contacted our Sandra (a family member who compiled our Edwards/Griffiths book yrs ago.) According to this descendant Thomas was the brother to our Elizabeth (nee JONES) Griffiths. It was her farm that Thomas resided at. I now have the marriage record from Ruabon Parish in Den Wales for John/Elizabeth (nee Jones) Griffiths and the bapt records for their first three children from the same parish. I have the parish records for 2 John Griffiths and 4 Eliz Jones from this parish. Upon learning tonight that this Thomas may be her brother I will ask them to ck for a Thomas Jones bapts record with matching parents to an Elizabeth. Hopefully, I will learn who their parents were.
