    1. [Jones] Photo Identify Sought
    2. W. Chris Jones
    3. Below is a link to a photograph I would appreciate any assistance in identifying those in it. It is believed to be Jones and Temples family members associated with Madison Monroe Jones (1855-1940) who m. Lefa Temples (1854-1930) abt. 1871 and lived in the Wilkinson and Baldwin County, GA area. Madison Monroe Jones was the son of John Gabriel Jones (1801-1881) and Mariah Carr (1813-?) who was the son of Joseph Jones (ca 1760-1827) and Mary ? Lefa Temples was the dtr. of Dr. John Temples (1817 - ?) and Sallie Temples. Dr. Temples was the son of John Temples (1784-?) and Susan Bloodworth (1784-?). Also curious if the estimated date of 1900-1920 is reasonable? THANK YOU. W. Chris Jones Roswell, GA

    1. [Jones] JONES Germany>Tenn.>Ark,>Okla.
    2. D.J. Dennis
    3. I am searching for ANY info on JIM and LOUIS(A) JONES from Ark. Maybe born Tenn. or Germany. I am guessing they were married around 1860, location unknown, so thye may have been born around 1840. I have posted to this list several times over the years and received many replies but nothing I connect with.I am sorry to say I have not always been able to answer everyone due to the long illness and recent death of my mother. I hope to start anew now. I did get 2 different (?) people sending me a file on a JIM JONES but both times the file had a virus and both times the return E-mail address was a bad one. If someone does have info please try to find a way to send it without the virus, Thank You. I have bits and pieces of info but can not find the bit of info that will help me to find my G.G.Grandparents. I can not even say for sure that their names are JIM and LOUIS(A) EATON JONES. These are the names people remember. The members of this family always have and still do use middle names for first names alot. I know nothing about LOUIS(A) except she was supposed to be an EATON from Tenn. JIM is supposed to have died around 1912-1913 in Loving, Leflore Co. Okla. I have found no records or grave. They had 4 sons, WILLIAM ALBERT known as Albert W. born 1868 and died 1906 in either Leflore Co. Okla. or Scott Co. Ark. He is buried at Weeks Cem. in Scott co. Ark. just across the Okla. state line. The other three sons are JOHN, BOB and HENRY. I have no dates and don't know who was the oldest. All I know is JOHN was a "Blue eyed sandy redhead with a crooked leg and worked on the same farm in Ozark, Franklin Co. Ark. for 20 to 30 years growing strawberries and sweet potatoes before he moved to Leflore Co. Okla. to farm." This from a great aunt years ago. I have never found any records to prove this except for the powder blue (Jones) eyes which often looked white in old family pictures. My grandfather (Claud MARSHALL JONES) died in 1953 and the only info he ever gave on his family was that they were "Dutch and Irish with a little other mixed in for good measure. On his S.S. app. he says his father (Albert Jones) was born in Germany. On the 1900 Franklin Co. Ark. census (the only time I have ever found any of them on a census) Albert is listed as born in Ark. ALBERT married ANNIE R. KIRKSEY and they had 4 sons and 1 daughter. There firs son LEE OMAR(LEOMER on census) was born in BOOTH ARK.(what county) around 1893. The next 3, CLAUD MARSHALL, JOHNNY ROBERT and DOLLY PEARL were born in Ozark, Franklin Co. Ark. and the last JESSY CLAYTON was born unknown place. None had the names of Albert, William or James(Jim). All moved to the Heavener, Howe area of Leflore Co. Okla. Some of the family moved to Fla. in the 50's or 60's. It may have been Bob or Henry's family but I do not know for sure. Some of the names from Fla. are, IDA, ADA, BESS, WILLIE(female), WILLIAM, and BILL. The older ones are thought to have died in the 70's or 80's. All of the brothers worked for the rail road at one time or another. My grandfather was an engine fireman(same a co-pilot on a plane)but did farm work as well. He applied for his S.S. card in Ne. I am guessing he was there to work the wheat as I know they also went to Ark. to work cotton and strawberries. He was 4_F in WWI due to a cripple right hand. There is no one left alive with any knowledge of these people and no paper trail that I can find. There are several JONES famlies on the Franklin Co. Ark. 1850 census but I have no way of knowing if any of them are my JIM JONES or his family. If anyone has any info or can help in any way please let me know. As most JONES famlies seem to be Welsh I am in hopes the German connection will be of some help. I am sorry this is so long but it is a last ditch effort to find something, anything, on my family. Thank You! Peace Delores _________________________________________________________________ Add photos to your e-mail with MSN 8. Get 2 months FREE*. http://join.msn.com/?page=features/featuredemail

    3. I know this seems rather silly and picky but ... there are some internet service providers who filter out any & all email with the word "help" in the subject line. They do that because so many of the spammers use the word in messages. Especially when it's emphasized (like all CAPS, !!, etc.). So can everyone please try not use to word help in the subject line of their postings, please. There were several bounces for email this morning after the message with the word "help" in the subject. Thanks. Kathi Jones-Hudson JONES Listowner __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail Plus - Powerful. Affordable. Sign up now. http://mailplus.yahoo.com

    1. [Jones] Need Help in finding Family's....PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!!!
    2. Sherry Jones
    3. I was wondering if anyone out there could help me find this Jones line? The reason I am asking is because, I am searching for a John W. Jones born in MO married a Mary Freeman born in Kansas, they had one child that I know of (I would think they had more, but I am very unsure of this) his name was Everett Wellington Jones born 1894 in MO, died 12-26-1935 in Omaha, NE. I can not find them at all in the 1900-1910 Census of MO, KS or NE. I have looked everywhere and nothing. The only problem is that I have no idea what town or county they lived in or were born in. And that sucks when the state of MO is huge. I have been told it could have been around Kansas City, MO, but I have not found them,ad I do not really think they were in that area since they are not in any of the census records I have looked in. I have found lots of John W. Jones and Mary's as the wife...lol but no Mary's from Kansas. I have sent in for Everett's death record in hopes this helps me with at least what ! county or so he might have been born in, but who knows. My luck isn't very good in finding any of them yet. I did find Everett and his wife in the 1930 Census of NE. But not much help there. So can someone, anyone PLEASE help me find them I am going crazy trying to find them. I know someone out there has to be connected to them, unless they are just made-up and don't exsist. I have looked for Marriage records, looked at Census records, looked for Death records and found NOTHING. PLEASE Can someone PLEASE, PLEASE help me find them? Do you think it is possible someone could help find them in the Census? I would be VERY-GREATFUL for ANYONES HELP in finding these JONESES. Thanks, Sherry

    3. Hi this is what my Wm Jones looks like on the 1880 census. There is a Patterson there, but looks like it is a first name, unless an error. Wm and Eva C. Beauchamp were married April 1875. then she filed for Divorce in 1877/78, but must have went back, because they are listed with a child on the 1880 census (below). then in the late 1880, she is married to a Charles N. Thompson and young Blanche goes thru her live with the Thompson name. So don't know if there was some hanky panky going on or what!! I did not find Jones on the 1879 census, but I want to look again, as I have a little more info etc Pat Household: Name Relation Marital Status Gender Race Age Birthplace Occupation Father's Birthplace Mother's Birthplace Williams JONES Self M Male W 41 CAN Keeps Rooms --- --- Eva C. 3. Pat My grandfather, George Washington Jones had a brother my the name of William born abt 1866, others in the family were Clara P abt 1860; Franklin W abt 1864; Mary S abt 1868; Ida L abt 1873. Working on the Jones family is so difficult, do the fact that there are so many, and they all seem to stick with the same names within the families. Plus the racial situation I never know whether I have the right family until I can find something giving me the color of the skin. In todays world I guess that would be called racial profiling, it makes me nervous for fear of offending someone. The family started out in New York, but how far back I don't know, some ended up in VA/WV and from there to MO, all of my grandfather's brothers and sisters ended up in CA. The best that I can figure is the the Jones', Morris' and Patterson' were pretty much in VA/WV and all apparently made the trek to MO together for they were in a lot of the findings that I have, and my grandmother was a Morris and her mother was a Patterson. I wish I could tell you if my William and your William were the same. My family were pretty much in the St Francois area and some in St Louis Counties. If you find any thing more let me know. Thanks for replying, Pat (Jones) Ballard Spokane, WA pissypat@icehouse.net
