REGARDING THE JONES CREST: When I went to locate my source online, I found it no longer there. It was one of those "your-crest-on-a-tshirt-for $49.95" places. I think the reson they are no longer there is because they were selling things like this JONES CREST without permission! According to them, it was given to "Charles Jeffrey Jones" in "the late 1500's". However, the REAL Charles, owner and designer of this crest, is ALIVE and WELL! Charles Jeffrey Jones designed and registered this crest in 1996. Perhaps one of us is actually related to him! I, also, am looking for Jones in MO. I believe that my William H/J Jones was the child of John Jones born in Kentucky/VA. He married Mariah/Maria Pointer/Painter. (We thought it wa Pointer, but I just found a reference that infers that her name was Mariak Painter. I wonder if anyone else has ran into the same problem as I have with my Jones Line? I am searching this Jones line from MO, and now I am very confused about them. I hope someone can help me.... My husband's grandfather was Everett Wellington Jones born 1-31-1894 in MO, died in 12-26-1935 in Omaha, NE, married Hattie May Griffin born May 8, 1893 in Iowa, died bet: 1936-1940 in NM. They married on May 9, 1923 in Omaha, NE. I just received his death certificate and well I don't understand why they would have his father on the death Certificate as a Everett Jones born in MO, mother as unknown, but on Everett and Hattie's marriage Record it shows Everett's parents were John W.
