    3. Bore da, Both my Joneses and Morgans are from Wales but I'm brick walled in Indiana on my William Jones (b. 1819 TN) whose family came from Wales, went to Virginia and Kentucky before ending up in Scott co. Indiana before heading out again to Washington state and Oklahoma. My Morgans are stuck in 1668 in North Carolina. Besides we get people from time to time looking for Welsh Joneses in here. 2. With deep regret, I have to say that my John Benton Jones was b. in Shenandoah County, VA and married Catherine Webb. He left Shenandoah County right before the Civil War and never returned. I am certainly sorry we do not connect. But I hope someone looking at the Jones list will have this John Benton Jones in their line. Betty

    1. [Jones] JONES/BOWLES Wedding Announcement
    2. Nancy Giles
    3. While doing volunteer data entry at our local library in Ontario, California, I came across this wedding announcement which might be of some interest to someone on this list. This does not relate to the Jones surnames that I am researching personally. Nancy Bowles - Jones Wedding Sealed Following School Graduation The Rev. Joseph Erickson sealed the vows of Miss Mary Ann Bowles and William C. Jones, Jr. in a ceremony 4 p.m. Saturday [11 Jun] at St. Mark's Church in Upland, witnessed by a company of immediate relatives and close friends. The lovely bride was on the arm of her father, Howard D. Bowles as she walked down the aisle to be given away in marriage. The young couple stood before an altar decorated with white flowers as Rev. Erickson read the double ring vows which united them in holy matrimony. For the occasion the bride wore a white nylon ribbon afternoon dress of street length and a white lace hat trimmed with rhinestones. She wore an orchid and lilies of the valley corsage. Her only attendant was Betty Alexander, who wore a pink linen dress with white accessories, and a white carnation corsage. Attending the bridegroom was David Bowles, brother of the bride. Mrs. Charles Hawthorne played "The Wedding March" and "Lohengrin." The bride's mother wore a blue shantung dress with navy and white accessories, while the groom's mother wore pink linen with white accessories. A reception was held immediate following the simple but impressive ceremony at the home of the bride's parents, Mr and Mrs. Howard D. Bowles, 564 Princeton street, with Mrs. E. C. Michael, the bride's godmother, in charge of pouring, and her two aunts, Mrs. Margaret Doyle and Mrs. Phillip Bahrman, serving the wedding cake, and a close friend, Barbara Brown, serving the punch. The bride was graduated from Chaffey high school Friday evening, while the benedict, son of Mr and Mrs. William C. Jones, Sr., was graduated from Claremont High school the same night. He is employed by the Ford Heating company. The young newlyweds postponed their honeymoon and established residence at 1155 A North Campus street. The Daily Report, Ontario, California June 18, 1953

    3. Hey, I think I have talked to you about my Jones/Lott connection a while back.(Dorothy, right?) I don't really know where my family began. I do know that my father had alot of aunt's and uncle's and the same for bro's and sis's. I could very well have Perry member's. I may have given you my father's info.......Lloyd Frank Jones b.Aug 30, 1919 d.Apr 15, 1988 my mother Hazel Kathlyn Langston b. Jul 30, 1922 d. Oct 28, 2002 m. 1939/40....his father James Albert Jones....mother Rena Lott (possibly Minnie Lorena Bryant Lott? This name comes from a line of Lott's that I am having a hard time proving that they are connected to Jones)m.Oct 30, 1895. Someone sent me a file that has not one Jones on it, but the birth date and place of Rena could be correct. She is married to someone else in this file and only 4 children. Could be 1st husb.If you can connect these names to you and or Perry, I'll be thrilled. 3. Roger Your line is not connected to mine, and I lean toward looking into the Amish/Menno or some such religion with the name Jahnes. I do, however, have people that are in Spring Grove in Cin. I am going to down this Spring to take photos so if you need anything from there shout. It is a very beautiful enormous cemetery. I have been already. More than happy to get what I can while I am there. Also if you ck the CINCH site and want obits shout I will pick those up for you while I get some articles on family members for us. I also need to gather old birth/death/marriage records from Cin if yours are in the same region I can add them to my research list. I will be down there often as our son just bought a new home in Ft. Thomas and we will be there a bit in the beginning. > -----Original Message----- > From: Roger Brofft [mailto:rbrofft@isoc.net] > Sent: Friday, January 31, 2003 7:57 PM > To: JONES-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: RE: [Jones] Henry W.
