Hello. I am finally making some headway on my Jones line. Anna Jones's full maiden name is Anna Jackson Saunders, and she was born about 1861 in Laclede County, MO. She married John Manford Jones Sep. 30, 1879 in Lebanon, Laclede Co, MO. He was born Oct. 6, 1856 also in Lebanon. John was the Sheriff of Laclede County, MO, and the son of William Jones and Eliza Jane Worley. I do have much more on Anna's family and ancestry now. I can share that with anybody who is interested separately. The children of John and Anna Jones are: Nellie Belle Jones born Nov. 7, 1882 in Laclede Co., MO (married Marion Walker Detherage in Laclede Co., MO) Etta Jones (married Elmer Darnell) Emma Jones Fred Jones John William Jones born Feb. 7, 1894 I still need to confirm this with documentation. The dates do match that of census records, and there was a John Jones during one of the late 1800 Laclede County, MO census. There are also on-line tombstone transcriptions available at Rootsweb supporting some of these times and places. Melissa
William Thomas Jones was born in North Carolina in Nash or Edgecombe county in the late 1800s. He was married to Mary Alice Moore. I would appreciate any information about either one of these persons. They were my Great Grandfather and Great Grandmother. Thank you. Hi Becky! My ggg was John A. Jones, b. 1812, d. 1918. He married Sarah Jane Gilbert (1836-1920). They moved from Coweta Co., GA to Wood Co., TX - where my gf Thomas Henry Jones (1865-1952) was born (not sure about that, he may have been born in GA). He married Adelia Gertrude Fletcher in 1890?. I am searching for information on Llwellyn Jones, male, born 1873 in Union County, Blairsville, Georgia. Son of Cotter Jones and Melvinia Tanner Jones. Llwellyn went to Waco, Texas and possibly from there to Ada, Oklahoma(not sure if that is the right city in Oklahoma). Any clues to this persons burial or any living relatives will be greatly appreciated. Llwellyn was my grandfather's brother. I am trying to locate all graves of Grandfather's siblings. Just yesterday, I found his sister's burial place in Waco. That was a 30 year search. And lo and behold, just this morning,I talked to her surviving daughter-in-law, who lives in Waco. I called the cemetary where my aunt and her husband are buried and the caretaker got in touch with my relative. It just takes time and patience. Thank you in advance for any light you might shed on my search . Peggy Jones Chapman

I have Margaret Jones Newberry born around 1812 Clermont Co, Oh. Thomas Jones (Margaret's grandfather, father was George) served in Rev war, born Jan 26, 1756 Washington Co, MD.
Rev. Putman as I remember in my youth there was argument as which church our family should attend. My mother was Catholic/dad was Mennonite. I remember that we attended an EUB for sometime until we (older two) children made attending very difficult for our parents. It was here several of my younger siblings were baptized. This was the "Evangelical United Brethren" later joining with United Methodists as I recall. I have vague memories of this church. I was fortunate to get to experience many churches as a child. I went with the various families and their churches as well as attending with friends with others such as going to a Synagogue with a neighbor to my grandparents. > -----Original Message----- > From: Marion L Putnam [mailto:chickputnam@earthlink.net] > Sent: Thursday, February 27, 2003 6:08 PM > To: JONES-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: Re: [Jones] Church of the Brethern > > > Joe > The church of the Brethern is Just that. This came from one of my other lists and has several references for Jones in the 1700's. Very interesting. Patti While searching for another family in Berks Co PA on the GenForum website for Berks Co PA, I came across an interesting message. Deb Millard Townsend submitted a message titled "Berks County - Lots of Info" to the board. Seems she has acquired an 225th anniversary publication of Exeter Township via eBay auctions. She placed some information on the site about the Boone family. Upon reading it some of it has some information which I find new for my records, but some data gives reason for thought and additional research. Example - This publication has that George Boone III's wife Mary Maugridge died three years before he did. There is also general information about land purchases and donations as well as vital records. The message can be found at the following link - http://genforum.genealogy.com/cgi-bin/pageload.cgi?palsgrove::pa/berks::1059.html OR Just go to the GenForum Berks Co PA site and search as you desire.
