Karli: I have access to all of the Ancestry.com sites as well as the ones at Genealogy.com. I have information on a Wiley Jones who moved to Dyer County, Tn. About 1830 from North Carolina. He was living next to Humphrey Jones, my ancestor, in the 1840 Census for Dyer County. I do not know if there is a family connection. I think there is, but I cannot prove anything. When I saw the name Wiley Jones, born in 1804, I thought this could be the same Wiley Jones that I have listed from Dyer County. I do not know anything about his family before he moved to Tennessee. Jan: Humphrey Jones' grave has been lost, planted over with no headstones or anything. However, there are no indications of any Jones to associate with in North Carolina. Unable to get to North Carolina to visit Martin County, the probable birth location of Humphrey Jones. However, this is part conjecture because I have nothing to show or prove that he was born or lived there. All records that I can locate on Humphrey just says that he was born in North Carolina. There are no marriage records. I do believe that he married Christeena Reddick in North Carolina before 1824 since his oldest son, Reddick, was born in North Carolina in 1824. The family moved to Tennessee between 1836-1839. His first wife died sometime before 1844 as best as I can calculate. He married Jane (LNU) sometime about this time. There is no marriage record that I can locate for them as of yet. I do know that his wife in 1850 is Jane, but I cannot verify any other information about her for certain. I have an Andrew Jackson Jones, born 1823 in Howard Cty, died September 6, 1900 in Baltimore., MD. Married Frances Ann Jones , born 1928 in Howard Cty , married Jan.28, 1846, died January 11, 1900 in Jonestown MD. They had 4 children, Josiah M. Jones,born 1847; Alexandre W. Jones, born 1848; Eliza A. born 1849 and William Henry Jones, born 1851(my connection). Karli - my memory is a little rusty - my Apple family lived along Buck Horn creek in NC - Guilford County. They then moved to VA then to Ross Co Ohio (over several generations) where an Apple married a Jones. I was not remembering Buck Horn Creek going through 6 counties.......or is that the name of a town? Hi, Is anyone related to Bryant W. Jones from Jackson County Arkansas? On the census he said he was born in Tennessee but I don't know what County. He married Sarah Breckenridge and maybe in Alabama but not sure and I can only guess when. They had a son Andrew Jones who married Serena Wooley.
