    3. Routinely this time of year folks tend to families they have rather than the ones they are seeking. Just wait 'til after the holidays and folks get new computers and geneo programs. Looking for the parents of James ALfred Jones, b22 Feb 1832, Bulloch Co,Ga, died 29 Dec 1881, Manatee Co, Fl. Married Sarah Patience Rawls, b 1838, d 11 Aug 1899, Manatee Co, Fl. Both are buried in Fortner Cemetary, Parish, Manatee Co, Fl. They married 24 Aug 1854 at Wekiva, Orange Co, Fl though some find it to be registered in Polk Co, Fl. They were the parents of: Martha Ann 1855-1924, m.___ Drymon Charles Wesley 1857-1865, buried in Ft Myers, Fl. Matthew Carson 1858-1951, m, Martha Lamb Mary Jane 1860-1923, m John Craig James Simeon/Simon 1862-1906, m Ruby Sparkman Cassandra Patience 1863- , m Daniel Sparkman,__Pipkin Elva 1866-1907, m ___Smith,___Scott, buried in Parish George Rawls 1868-1947 Thomas Quentin 1870-1959, m Loretta___, Anna Wallace Emily 1872- William Edward 1873-1898 Walter 1875-1898 Elbert Zedikiah 1878-1947, m Maggie Dampier Florence Blanchard 1881- All children seem to have been born in Manatee Co, Fl. James's parents may have been Simeon or Simon Jones from N.Y. and Nancy or Mary Driggers from Ga. There may be some connection to a William E Jones and son Matthew E Jones, both from Bulloch Co, Ga. and later of Fl, Matthew anyway. Any relatives, regardless how distant, or additional info, are/is gladly welcome! Love and Peace Graham Jones __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! 3. Since we are doing a roll call.... I am in search of information on an Augustus T. Jones reportedly born Nov 29, 1830 in Duanesbury (spelling?), NY who died August 18, 1898 in Stamford, CT. He was married to Mary Ann Zeh (reportedly born January 27, 1831 in Albany, NY and died January 15, 1912 in Stamford, CT) and they had at least four children, Augustus E. (believe he never married), Elizabeth (died young), William Henry (my g-grandfather), and Annie who married someone with Williams as the surname. --Rob -- Robert Locke [email protected]

I don't have a clue. Seaborn was b. SC 1799. Married Catherine Long 1820 in probably Bedford Co. TN. Catherine Long's father, Joseph, kept a bible with dates but no locations. Seaborn's second child, William, was born in Bedford 1822, according to his tombstone. It would be nice to have this Christmas present on the computer when I get back from traveling next week. 3. haven't been on the list in awhile and thought I'd see if there might be anything new on Granddaddy Samuel Jesse Jones, born 1769 in Laurens/Newberry SC. I am looking to "flesh" out my Jones line. Particularly JOHN JONES, b Feb. 27, 1792 in Laurens Co, SC. He married Esther Dalrymple (or Easter as shown on some docs)- b 1801. they had the following children: Eleanor Francis Jones Martha Susan Jones Rachel Jones Louis M. (Lewis) Jones b 1826 (my ancestor) Hillary Jones 1833 (am assuming this is a male as Louis names a son Hillary C Jones) Sarah Ann Rebecca Jones b 1844 the Jones family is documented to some extent thru the DALRYMPLE connection. I am hoping that some of the JONES family has done more and is willing to share. I do have children's names and birthdates but would like to know more about the Jones family and their lives. Do we have any Civil War soldiers? Any WW I or WW 2 service men? Were they farmers or business people? I am the 5th great-granddaughter of Samuel Jesse. Sandy -- Me Elbert -- Father Furman -- Grand John D -- GGF m'd Bessie Irene Bearden Hillary C -- GGGF m'd Louisa Elizabeth Brewer Louis M (Lewis) GGGGF m'd Lettie E Rice John GGGGGF m'd Esther/Easter Dalrmple Samuel Jesse GGGGGGF m'd Rebecca Dalrmple if I have all that right.. Hopefully this isn't too disjointed and you are able to understand it.. I'm still working on my queries.. Thanks lots and Merry Christmas Sandy Jones Hamilton ps.. Any HAMILTON connections for the upstate of SC can reply as well..
