My first post to the new-look JOLLY-L which, under Kay's management, is bound to become a brilliant forum for JOLLY research. Is anybody researching the family of Zachariah JOLLY (c1807-) and Ann DUNSTAN? They married at Wendron, Cornwall in 1835 and had the following children, all born at Polmarth, Wendron - * William (1835-) - married Charity and remained in Cornwall * Francis (1837-1922) - married Eliza OPIE, emigrated to South Australia in about 1858-59 and settled in Clunes, Victoria in around 1862. * Zachariah (c1839-1899) - married (1) Jane THOMAS; & (2) Mary SEDGMAN. Lived in Clunes during the 1860s and '70s, but died in South Melbourne. * John (c1841-) * James (1844-) * Ann - married John WATERS and lived in the Clunes area from abt 1874+ Would love to compare notes with anyone who is a descendant of this JOLLY branch.
