    3. Hi Jane and all St Enoder area Jolly searchers: I really need to get some sort of detailed map of all the parishes around St Enoder, Ladock, St Columb Major parts. I think there are some little churches in between that are no longer marked on current maps but I do not know what they are. Thanks Jane for placing Mawgan in Pyder/Pydar (where does the Lanherne-Rc fit into it?) into its relevant place. I have put together a list of Mawgan in Pydar/ Lanherne-Rc Mawgan in Pyder bp and m's from the IGI if anyone is interested. >Thanks for the info on John JOLLY & Loveday BLACKMORE. I have been >going through what I have and adjusting and making notes. There was a >child ( Blackmore) that I did not even have ! Blackmore is proving a bit of a mystery man as we don't seem to know much about him. > >There are a few errors that I may have or you may have. I hope you do >not mind me going through them. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. I have posted what I've collected and am hoping someone will add and/or correct what I've put down. > >You have Betsy JOLLY ( Kay & my line) as dying at Moonta. They lived >at Kadina in retirement, and believe they died at Kadina, buried at >Moonta. Will check. I may have misread Kay's info on Betsy so will check with her too. > >I have Henry JOLLY who died at Mintaro as 28 Oct 1888 ? I also have >details of his family - do you want those ? YES PLEASE. > >I have Joseph JOLLY marrying Harriet DAVIS (not DAVIES ? ) Also had >no record of him being a Moonta Mining Captain - Kay - have you got >that one ? Joseph and Harriet are my great grandparents and as Harriet was Welsh I am certain her surname should be DAVIES. Joseph's info re mining captain is on marr and child's birth cert. Family info places him at Moonta but I cannot find anything that definitely places him there. > >Also , you have Elizabeth b 1843 dau of William JOLLY , listed as a >clay labourer ? I've checked back to my original records and found that when I wrote Elizabeth, I had Henry (son of Wm and Philippa) recorded below her and inadvertantly missed him out and transcribed his occupation to her. On the 1861 census Henry aged 20 (b. 1841) and Elizabeth aged 18 (b 1843) were recorded as still living with their parents in St Stephen in Brannel. Henry was a china clay labourer and Elizabeth the dau of a stone cutter. Thanks for pointing out my mistake. > >And you have a John JOLLY death 1696 in St Stephen in Brannell - >could this be the father of Henry JOLLY of St Enoder , our unproven >link. Brian Nice , when he did some work for me , had John as the >father of Henry - I assume from parish records that he sighted but as >yet I do not have a copy. Henry JOLLY of St Enoder b 1675. is in my >file with a big question mark ! ( Henry of St Enoder had a son, >Joseph b 1711 - OUR Joseph who married Mary BOND ??? ) The IGI maintains that Henry b 1675 St Enoder is the son of JOSEH (interpreted as JOSEPH rather than JOHN) I have not seen the original although perhaps Victoria Dunlop has and she may be able to clear up this mystery for us. > >Brian sent the info over as " St Enoder Baptism - The 22nd day of >January 1675 was baptised Henry the sonn of John Jolly " His words >were " as much as we can tie it down , it looks like Henry is your >man" > >I also have miscellaneous JOLLY burials from St Enoder that I will >send later. That would be great Jane. Many thanks, Pat ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
