    3. Before any one get's too excited: I have the 14th published edition, 1998 of the Register of One-Name Studies, published by The Guild of One-Name Studies, or GOONS, address as given below. I regret to say, neither Jolly nor it's variant Jolley is present in this edition. It may be, that since then, someone has bravely taken up the challenge. The Goon's email address (at as 1998) is guild@one-name.org. Their web site is http://www.one-name.org. I quote from Part 4 - Deposities of past members' records: "Unless a former member has offered the Guild further information regarding the location of his or her research, we are unable to provide any further information than that held in previous editions of the Register of One-Name Studies. "We are advised that much of the material deposited by former Guild members with the Society of Genealogists has not yet been catalogued and is therefore not available for research." There is a publication, available at the Box G address, called "Sources for One-Name Studies and for other Family Historians" by Brian Christmas. UK Price: £2.50 Overseas: £3.50. Stephanie in Kent, UK hunting JOLLEY and JOLLY in NW Kent. ----- Original Message ----- From: Ervin Jensen <eajensen@earthlink.net> To: <JOLLY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, March 16, 2000 12:49 PM Subject: Re: Jolly Locations - everywhere-UPDATE#2 > To all: > There is a book on surnames and an address for surname studies.
