Hi Pat, "Pat Milne" wrote > > I really need to get some sort of detailed map of all the parishes around > St Enoder, Ladock, St Columb Major parts. The David and Charles reprints of the Victorian Ordnance Survey maps (with a good magnifying glass!) are helpful for locating small settlements that don't always appear on modern maps. Cornwall is covered by Sheets 89, 90, 95, 96 and 97. I have 89 and 96 - which cover about 80% of the county and all my areas of interest. Gould Books sell them ($14 each). Their online catalogue is at - http://www.gould.com.au > The IGI maintains that Henry b 1675 St Enoder is the son of JOSEH > (interpreted as JOSEPH rather than JOHN) I have not seen the original > although perhaps Victoria Dunlop has and she may be able to clear up this > mystery for us. > > > >Brian sent the info over as " St Enoder Baptism - The 22nd day of > >January 1675 was baptised Henry the sonn of John Jolly " His words > >were " as much as we can tie it down , it looks like Henry is your > >man" I have Henry, son of Joseph Jolley, bapt. 22 Jan 1675 and have assumed that the unnamed mother is Charity. Joseph and Charity and William and Amy were the only two JOLLY couples producing children in St. Enoder at this time. The children I have listed for Joseph and Charity match those you posted to the list a month or so ago, Pat - 1660 11 Jun Benjamine 1662 22 Apr Charles 1664 12 Apr Cheratie 1665/6 13 Mar Patience 1668 15 Sep Robert 1672 15 Jul Charity 1675/6 22 Jan Henry 1678/9 24 Mar Dorothy Henry and Rose named their children Charity, Henry, Joseph ....... It looks and feels right. I wonder, Pat, would you mind posting the early St. Enoder tree to the list again so that we can all take another look at it.
