JOHN JOLLY married Sussanna Howarth 1 Jan 1834 at St Peter's Bolton Le Moor, and had children JAMES HOWARTH JOLLY(1835), ALICE JOLLY(1837- 22 Sept 1869 Horwich), ESTHER JOLLY(1839- 2 Jan 1900, Horwich), HENRY HOWARTH JOLLY(1841 - 28 Ap 1900 Horwich), SAMUEL PILKINGTON JOLLY (1842 -pre 1851), ELLEN JOLLY (1848- 25 Jan 1906), and WILLIAM THOMAS JOLLY (born 1852 Horwich) WILLIAM THOMAS JOLLY married Hannah Nightingale in 1871 and they had children ESTHER JANE JOLLY (c 1872), EDITH JOLLY (1874), JOHN HENRY JOLLY (1879), CLARA JOLLY (20 Oct 1883 Horwich -24 May 1985 Perth, Western Australia - my great grandmother), and WILLIAM HOWARTH JOLLY (1891 and according to my grandmother married Lucy William in USA). Hi Bev, I am very interested in your JOLLY family. One of my wife's ancestors was a Robert JOLLEY born about 1730. Married Catherine TYRER on the 4th Nov 1755 at All Saints, Wigan. Would you by chance have any record of him. Just not sure where he came from. I have other family names that are in Wigan whose ancestors come from Bolton Le Moors, so there may well be some migration here. Hope to hear from you.
