Raymon, William K. Johnston could definitely have been one of my relatives! This one was born in Twiggs Co., GA, and attended an academy there. His name was William Kleiber Johnston ( not sure about sp. of middle name.) He went first to Eufaula, AL, & had married Miss Morgiannah Nichols. I lose him then, and don't know if he went on to Texas or not. He was dead by his mother's will date in 1854. May have had a son named after him. Found out about him in a letter written by one of his friends at the academy. He mentions that William K. "turned out well." That's all I know about him- except that he was son of my James Johnston, Jr., Esq. first State Senator from Twiggs Co., GA, 1810-1811, and wife, Amey Lanier.
