    3. Of course things can be erroneously submitted. However, the written primary record of the event is more trustworthy than a headstone or somebody said. Folks, I am not interested in a contest of who is wrong or right. I was offering some help for someone who was asking. If you don't want my help just say so. When someone asks for help on a generalized question that doesn't even tell what county or township is, then someone has to ask other questions to be able to provide that help. Sorry you are having a tough time with your ancestor. I have been there. doc ----- Original Message ----- From: "Beth Perry Johnston" <bpjohnston@charter.net> To: <JOHNSTON-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, December 04, 2004 3:31 PM Subject: Re: [JOHNSTON] Benjamin H. 3. I'm not sure you can even trust the death certificate. My grandfathers said his father was born in PA. I know for a fact that he was born in IL. Looking for Alexander Finley Johnston born 6/8/1845 PA. Or his father Andrew Johnston born abt.1789 Peach Bottom, NJ. Anything will be fine. 3. Thank you all for your help and suggestions. This has/is really been a tall brick wall for me. The great thing about genealogy is all the nice people who are so willing to help and offer suggestions. Thanks again. :-) Pam -----Original Message----- From: Charles Flanders [mailto:CFlanders@hot.rr.com] Sent: Sunday, December 05, 2004 12:16 PM To: JOHNSTON-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [JOHNSTON] Benjamin H.
