It may well be that your line is indeed connected to Aquilla and therefore mine is probably not. Of course the Y chromosome DNA only passes father to son and would not reflect the Goodloe family connection through the female line. I printed both those charts out that you posted and will keep them for reference in the future. My closest matches so far in the DNA study think they may go back to an Arthur Johnson from the Aberdeen area of Scotland, but so far none of us can pin down any common link in our lines.

I am interested in perhaps joining in the DNA Johnston study. Please tell me whom to contact to learn more about the Johnston DNA., how much it cost to participate, etc. Thanks.
