There is an extraordinary will left by Alexander Johnston 29th Apr 1777 which might be of great value to Johnston researchers. My line starts with a John Johnston b. Jan 09, 1779, probably Orange County NC. The trouble I keep running into is the Johnstons had a John and a Thomas in every generation. Maybe someone else on this list can figure this will out.
