Emma grew up in OH and went to MO to teach school. Jacob was a Lieutenant in the Union Army, American Civil War, and may have enlisted in OH. We have his citizenship papers dated 1859 in Bryan, Williams County, OH. They married on 9-12-1867 in Warrensburg, MO. Five children: Llewellyn Gilmer (m Battershall), Eugene J. (m ??), Charles (m Welsh), Mary (m Harvey Kenyon), and Effie,( m Venable.) One of Mary's daughters married Cecil Colclasure. Another daughter married a Moudy. Llewelyn Gilmer and Eugene J. became doctors and settled in Oklahoma Territory. Mary settled in Idaho, and was living there in the early 1970's. Charles lived in Clinton, MO and is buried there. He had two daughters, Helen and Maxyne. Would like information on Emma's parents and family in OH. Would like to hear from all extended family.
