JOHNSON Charles W. Johnson, aged 72, a resident of Columbus for 25 years, died Wednesday at his home 70 1/2 East Third avenue, from uraemic poisoning. He had been ill for the past 10 years. He was a blacksmith by occupation and is survived by nine children. They are: Charles E., of Dallas, Tex.; Franklin, Thomas, Joseph, Walter, Hiram, Virginia Howe and Irene Evans of Columbus, and Della Brown of Newark. Pletcher-Brown company will have charge of the funeral arrangements for which have not been completed. ========== >From The Columbus Citizen, Friday, July 14, 1911, page 2 is the following: CHARLES JOHNSTON Funeral services for Charles W. Johnston, 72, who died at his home at 70 1/2 East Third avenue Wednesday from uremic poisoning, will be held from the Wesley Avenue Evangelical church Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial at Union cemetery. Mr. Johnston was a resident of Columbus for 25 years and was a blacksmith by trade.
