Son Alexander Campbell Johnston migrated to Australia and built a historical Suspension Bridge in Sydney and a railway. Son John Johnston married Maria Flanaghan at Invercargill New Zealand in 1864 and migrated to Australia. Daughter Elizabeth married John MacNamara in Queanbeyan.
