From this union were 6 children, 3 of whom lived to adulthood. When, and for whatever reason, they were divorced. Carrie remarried to David Wilkins. >From The Columbus Dispatch, Tuesday, November 2, 1948 is the following obituary: Mrs. Carrie Wilkins Mrs. Carrie A. Wilkins, 79, widow of David W. Wilkins, died Monday at her home, 564 Kimball Pl, following a four-day illness. Mr. Wilkins died Aug 16. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lulu Mae Young of New York and Mrs. Lillian Abshear of Dayton; two sisters, Mrs. Stella Betts of Nelsonville and Mrs. Jennie Edgell of Columbus; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in 3rd Av Methodist Church, the Rev Stanley Jeffrey officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery by Feil funeral home.
