Johnston I posted belongs to another lineage. I have my forebears in FL and SC, but not earlier than Abner D. Johnston (b. circa 1809 in SC). In the 1850s he was Captain in the FL Mounted Volunteers in the last Indian War in FL, was a stock raiser during the civil war, and was a county judge in mid-FL afterward. Keep up your research.
