Posted on: Johnston Queries Board URL: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/surnames/joh/Johnston?read=212 Surname: JOHNSTON, HAMPTON ------------------------- Looking for information on the family of my 3rd great grandmother Susannah Johnston born in Covington Kentucky in 1823 or 1824. She married John H Hampton in McLean County IL in 1840, and shortly after their marriage they moved to Greenfield, Dade County MO. Susannah lived the rest of her life there and died in Greenfield in 1881. She is buried in Wetzel Cemetery just outside Greenfield. The only thing I know about Susannah's parents is that one record listed her father as Dr Joseph Johnston. I have not been able to prove if this is true or not. Any help on Susannah is welcome.
