Posted on: Johnston Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/surnames/joh/Johnston/387 Surname: JOHNSTON ------------------------- I am looking for information on a John Johnston who was born in PA during the 1760s and moved to Milton OH (then in Trumbull Co., now in Mahoning Co.) and founded a large family of Johnstons in the Milton - Jackson - Lordstown area of OH. I have no idea where he came from within PA, only census records from his children saying that he was born in PA. The move apparently happened in the 1820s. His sons include John Johnston Jr., Francis Johnston, Thomas Johnston, and Samuel Johnston. John and Samuel were born in PA prior to the move, and Thomas and Francis were born in OH in the Milton area. Thanks for your help! --- Steve Johnston
