I am trying to find the link but have so far been unsuccessful. William Hardcastle Johnston was born in 1827 in Paddington, London, England - the son of Nicholas Johnston (of whom I can't find anything, but that's one for later - unless anyone out there knows different)!!!! Both William and his father Nicholas were described as Tailors and at one time in London, on the Edgeware Road was a tailors shop by the name of Johnston and Hall. Does anyone have any information about this shop and its proprietors? A family of Sabins may have lived next door to the shop. William H Johnston married Sophia Poulson at Hendon in 1858. William is my 2x great grandfather. ANY information about the Johnston, Hardcastle, Sabin and Hall families would be very much appreciated and of course any information about the tailoring establishment. Thank you for your help.
