My husband's Johnstons show up in Ontario in the 1830s and moved very freely between Ontario and St. Lawrence Co., NY, before moving on the Cleveland, OH, where most of them have stayed. He says he remembers his parents visited relatives in Michigan when he was a child, but not the connection or any names. Does this ring any bells for you? Or for anyone?
