Have hit a brick wall here. We just found out about Jesse Johnson. He married a woman named Rachel Unk. The only known son at this point is Benjamin Franklin Johnson who was b. Abt. 1805 in Va./W. Va. Benjamin married Thankful Whitney Abt. 1836 and d. November 18, 1889 in Clark Ridge, Wetzel County, W. Va. Guessing that Jesse and Rachel were born somewhere around the 1ate 1760's to early 1780's. Do any Johnston/Johnson member have any ideas or possibly heard of this couple?
