Was a cooper, and served for a time as justice of the peace. Died 29 Oct 1846 in Franklin County, PA. Married Nancy Howell or Nancy Troup, who was born 1785 and died 26 Sep 1868 in Franklin County, PA. WILLIAM JOHNSTON - Born 13 May 1808 in Franklin County, PA. Was a farmer. Died 31 Mar 1882 in Franklin County, PA. Married Susan M. Harbaugh, who was born 18 Mar 1810 in Franklin County, PA and died 8 Feb 1888 in Franklin County, PA. William and Susan's children were: George H. born 26 Jul 1833; Nancy born 12 Feb 1835 (m. Was a well-known and extensive farmer of Washington Township in Franklin County; served several terms as school director; was active in civic affairs; was a member of the Harbaugh Reformed Church. Died 11 Aug 1933 in Rouzerville, PA. Married Mary Ellen Brown, who was born 15 Jan 1847 in Frederick County, MD and died 2 Feb 1910 in Rouzerville, PA. John and Mary's children were: Catharine Pauline; Maude Belle; F. May; Bertha; Stanley; Martha Louise; Mary Susan; John Robert; Charles Leon.
