My g-gfather was John Calhoun Johnston, b. 1850. I have been told he was born in NC as well as SC. Have not been able to trace any further back. He moved to FL & married Sarah Eliz. Lee & my g-father, John Edgar Johnston was apparently born there, although my dad told me he was born in SC. At least one census rpt. has John E. born in FL. I'm going bonkers! Thanks for any info.
