Some of the county lines have now changed. I would like to see the photos to see if they resemble a few of the ones that I have. My 3rd great grandfather was James Johnston, born ALA?, abt 1825. His sons were: Sam, Lewis, Willis, Bud, John James Monroe and possibly 2 others, there wre two daughters Harriett and Katherine. My 2nd great grandfather was John James Monroe Johnston, (1852-1933) lived in Lafayette and Shelby County ALA. He married Vera Frankie Todd. They had two sons, Marion Alexander and James Manuel Johnston. My great grandfather, Marion Alexander JOhnston (1884-1970)married Sarah Esther Ethel Dyer and lived in Shelby Co, Alabama.
