    3. I am looking for the parents of SARAH JOHNSTON, born MAy 17, 1776 in VA. She maried JOHN ELLIS in Nov of 1793 in Appling, Cooumbia, Ga. I believe her father is SAMUEL JOHNSTON of Lincoln NC. I have two names for her mother. One is OLIVIA KERSHAW the other is Olive MCCARTY daughter of DANIEL MCCARTY. Any information concering her parents would be appreciated.

Hello Delores, I would like to know more about the Lincoln Co NC Johnstons as I am descendant of Malinda E; Johnston b abt 1822 who married Lawson Keever in Lincolnton, Lincoln Co NC in Dec 1841. The only Daniel McCarty I'm familiar with was a very prominent man in Westmoreland Co VA ...you might post to the list or check their archives.
