All I do know is he was born somewhere around rock Island,Il. He married edna bailey, they had at least 6 children. Clara Winegan, Frank Ernest, Walter Earl, Ira, Ethel Stella, Mildred fern, and Edna Rose, I think all children born in Nebreska, My grandmother Ethel married a WW1 Soldier in Omaha, guess there was a army base there. Her husband Frederick died in 1919. As far as I know there are no other decedants of James William Johnston. Anyone have any connection even from his birth family. Barbara Smith Evans
