I have a Benjamin Johnston b in NY 1777. He had a son John b c 1810 John marr 2nd Mary Ann Teetzel in Southwold, Elgin co. 18 sept 1839. John had a son Elisha, but was born 1835 before his marr to Mary Ann, but I don't know who his 1st wife was but it may have been Ann Bissell, Elisha was born in Ont but farrmed in Bancroft Mi and I believe he died there in 1880. Elisha marr a Mary ? and had an Effie b 1859 d aft 1888 marr a Willis Hitchcock, a John b c 1863, a Anna b c 1864, and a Friend B b c 1872. I found Friend in Mi in 1880 census and then in Southwold Ont with an Uncle in 1881 on Hugh Johnstons household. John had a son Mahlon ( My line) b 1856. Mahlon mar Rhoda Jane Brotherhood in Ont. Mahlon then homesteaded in Sask. and took his family there. I have just found that Rhoda had died threr in 1935 and that Mahlon was still living at that time and I presume he died there also in Watrus. Their son Reginald (my Grandfather) was born also in Ont and went to the homestead when he was 2 yrs old, and he marr a Maude Nickerson. the next I know is they were in Los Angeles in 1918 when Maude died. Do any of my Johnston's fit into anything that you have? Thanks for your time, Harry Johnston
Are your Johnston's any relation to a Nathan, James, Carolyn? b. in Maine or New Brunswick depending upon census and moved to WI between 1850-1860 in the Omro/Oshkosh area? Anne

Frances had been the cook at a summer convalescent home, called Moore Cottage, in Sea Bright in the 1920s and 1930s. Frances would've been about 70s or 80s when she died; however, I can't swear to that. I'm not related. My father worked as the chauffeur and handy man at the cottage as a young man and thought the world of Miss Bailey. I remember we went to see her in East Orange but she was very ill and dying - only my father got into see her. Thanks. Sara
